1998 The Problem Revealed Innovit’s story began during a global ERP implementation for a medical device manufacturer, where over 55,000 products across four legacy systems and 17 languages required consolidation and cleansing. Despite significant investment, the data quickly became outdated, revealing the need for a smarter, sustainable approach to trusted product master data management.

1999 The Early Hustle With a clear vision for solving enterprise master data challenges, Innovit’s founders won a national innovation competition in Australia, secured research funding, and joined the Australian Technology Park incubator. These early milestones helped transform the concept into a commercial product data management platform.

2000 The Genesis of Innovit Innovit officially launched its first PIM solution, iICE (Innovit Intelligent Catalogue Engine), in October 2000 and secured its first customer just one month later. This marked the beginning of Innovit’s journey as a trusted provider of product master data management solutions.

2008–2018 Industry Leadership Building on successful implementations across ANZ, Innovit expanded globally through continuous innovation and strategic partnerships. Key milestones included launching the first GDSN Connector for EANnet (later rebranded as NPC) in ANZ, introducing iWirkflo® for NPI workflow automation, expanding global GDSN capabilities in partnership with 1WorldSync, and pioneering one of the first GUDID submission software for UDI compliance in the US.

2019–2024 Continued Innovation Innovit continued leading innovation in UDI compliance and healthcare product data management software by becoming the first company to successfully complete EUDAMED M2M testing with the EU Commission in 2019. The company also launched Genesis, its next-generation cloud-native platform, along with new-generation of GDSN and UDI connectors built on Genesis.

2025 - Now Shaping the Future Innovit introduced the Visual Rules Framework (VRF), a breakthrough approach to data integration and validation that reduces coding and data mapping costs by over 95%. The company also expanded its global UDI capabilities with new connectors for Australia and Switzerland, while preparing for the launch of Collabri®, the next evolution of iWirkflo®, for NPI workflow automation and dynamic integration.
