Position Overview

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF ROLE
The primary responsibility of the Project Manager is to manage client facing service delivery projects. These projects involve software implementation and consulting services. A secondary responsibility is to identify and manage Innovit’s internal process improvement initiatives throughout the organization.

We are looking for a full-time pragmatic project manager, who has experience managing enterprise software delivery projects from the solution vendor’s side, with exceptional attention for detail, and strong commercial awareness. This individual must be comfortable liaising with customers at both the business and technical levels.

As a Project Manager, you will work with the Customer Success Manager and departmental Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in creating and implementing change management strategies that maximize employee adoption and usage. You will be required to support multiple projects across global time zones at any given time.

This is a full-time, remote, work-from-almost-anywhere role although a large portion of our team and clients resides in the US and Europe. Experience working within a fully remote team is preferred.

Objectives and Key Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage North American and European projects, or manage North America and Asia/Pacific projects.
  • Guide adoption of Innovit’s Project Management Framework through its application to departmental changes.
  • Manage and mitigate operational, technical and financial risks.
  • Maintain contact with clients and parties involves through email and phone calls, answer questions and concerns, prepare presentations, and enter project data.
  • Communicate with, and organize training to all levels of the organization, including executive audiences on new processes.
  • Manage, defuse, and resolve in-project issues, escalations and crises.
  • Develop detailed plans for each project, including the delivery and resourcing schedule.
  • Collaborate with various teams and hold meetings to develop project plans and present them to upper-level management throughout the project’s lifecycle – from initiation to close out.
  • Closely monitor each project to ensure that projects remain on track, meet deadlines, stay under client’s budget, and deliver according to plan.
  • Responsible for gathering and documenting all project results and then reporting or presenting them to the appropriate stakeholders (both Innovit and Client’s management).
  • Manage and report on the financial health and profitability of each project. Meet minimum gross margin hurdle rates for Innovit.
  • Report on the success of the project and any setbacks that were encountered or room for improvement (Lessons Learned).

KEY OBJECTIVES: You will be expected to:

  • Ensure that product and service delivery projects are profitable within an acceptable level of risk.
  • Ensure that delivery is according to the SOW meeting customer’s scope, budget, time, and quality.
  • Ensure that management reports are delivered accurately, consistently and on a timely basis as agreed with senior management for both internal profitability analysis and customer needs.
  • Ensure that projects have adequate resources in terms of skills, experience, and domain knowledge (must be reviewed weekly).
  • Perform regular (i.e., weekly) resource forecasting and scheduling for consulting, cloud infrastructure and QA teams.
  • Develop a detailed operational understanding of Innovit’s project management methodology.
  • Achieve average customer satisfaction score of 9 or more out of 10.

Skills and Cultural Requirements

ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL SKILLS: You must have the following technical CAPABILITIES:

  • Ability to manage multiple projects across multiple time zones and geographies.
  • Articulate English skills – written and verbal (concise, pertinent, grammatically correct language).
  • Ability to easily adapt to fast changing circumstances (i.e., project parameters may change weekly or fortnightly).
  • Ability to negotiate change requests and justify client budget revisions.
  • Ability to manage and reset stakeholder expectations.
  • Knowing various project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall & Hybrid)
  • Demonstrating proficiency to present with PowerPoint and use various Microsoft Office tools like Excel, Word, Outlook and Visio.
  • Learn and apply Innovit Project Management methodology
  • Formal Project Management Certification required

PROFESSIONAL QUALITIES: You must have these professional traits:

  • Capable of working independently
  • Working within demanding timelines on multiple tasks/tickets simultaneously.
  • A quick learner with the ability to acquire new domain knowledge, self-guided learning capability
  • Comfortable reading through business requirement documents, functional specifications, technical specifications, and attending online briefing sessions with stakeholders
  • Not afraid to ask questions or seek assistance
  • Willing to challenge management & design decisions
  • Natural willingness to share information and provide visibility among team members
  • Willingness to accommodate overseas time zones depending on project geographies (e.g., US, EU and/or Australia)
  • Proven history of working with client’s end-users and technical users.
Experience

ESSENTIAL: Have at least 10 years of commercial experience comprising:

  • 5-years+ project Management experience with PIM, MDM, GDSN or UDI implementations for a software vendor organization.
  • 5-years+ running multiple projects concurrently.

HIGHLY DESIRABLE:

  • Experience in using Power BI, Excel and running PM end of week, month and year reports.
  • Experience working with clients in Life Sciences and Healthcare industry is highly interesting.

Education

ESSENTIAL:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
  • Project Management certification (PIMBOK, Prince etc.)

HIGHLY DESIRABLE:

  • MBA or Masters of Commerce degree
