Data Flow Models for GDSN Data Syndication
With Innovit GDSN Multi-Connector, customers can leverage pre-packaged and custom data flow models to support their internal business processes for aggregating, maintaining, validating and publishing their product data via GDSN. The pre-packaged data flow models come in 2-Stage and 3-Stage variations, while also providing a Passthrough option for organizations who do not have users maintaining data in Innovit’s application.
2-Stage Data Flow Model
This model has two distinct stages: maintenance and publication. The maintenance stage comes pre-packaged with all the data types, attributes, code lists and data validation rules that customers need to manage and validate their product data via their chosen data pools. Once the data is validated and ready for publication, it is released to the publication stage where users can upload and publish their clean and validated product data to their trading partners.

Organizations with no upstream systems or data aggregation needs, where users either create records directly in Innovit’s application or import product data in the required GDSN format.
3-Stage Data Flow Model
This model has three distinct stages: aggregation, maintenance, and publication. The aggregation stage allows users to consolidate and cleanse raw product data from multiple source systems to create a complete source product record. The data is then converted into the required GDSN format in the maintenance stage and follows the standard data validation and publication process as the 2-stage model.

Passthrough Data Flow Model
This model supports a fully automated flow where product data is maintained upstream and only passes through Innovit’s solution for data validation and publication. Product data is automatically imported, mapped and validated against GDSN data pool rules, and published without manual intervention. Data validation and synchronization reports are sent back to the source system, where any corrections are made and re-imported.

User Configurable Workflow Model
This model leverages Innovit’s Collabri workflow engine to enable fully configurable, advanced workflow orchestration.
